Hours of Operation
The media center is open from 7:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on school days.
Book Checkout
Books may be checked out for a period of 10 school days. To renew a book, simply bring it to the circulation desk. Overdue books will incur a fine of $0.05 per book, per day. Lost or irreparably damaged books will incur a fine equal to the cost of the book.
Academic Integrity
Students are expected to cite their sources. Plagiarism is not acceptable. Examples and consequences of plagiarism may be viewed in the DeLand High School Academic Integrity Policy.
Computer Use
In order to use a computer in the media center (or anywhere else at DeLand High School), students must turn in a completed and signed Acceptable Use Agreement.
Fast Facts
The library collection contains over 10,000 volumes for circulation, with an additional 2,600 volumes in the reference section. Teachers may peruse a wide-ranging collection of movies and audiobooks.
There are 4 computer labs with approximately 25-30 computers each.
We have a large-format printer, Ellison die-cutting machine, copy machine, laser printers, a scanner, and a color printer. We also provide craft paper for patron use.
Our periodical section offers an assortment of magazines, plus a daily copy of the Daytona Beach News-Journal and twice weekly copy of the DeLand-Deltona Beacon.
